The Whitsome Shirt Jacket by Carhartt WIP is made of 9.2 oz wide-ribbed cotton velvet with a loose fit. The garment has undergone a piece-dyed treatment that gives the shirt jacket a softer feel and ensures consistent color over time.

Inside, the vertically quilted nylon taffeta lining adds warmth without adding bulk. On the front, there are two large patch pockets on the chest and two welt pockets. The Square Label, Carhartt's fabric label, is sewn onto one of the chest pockets.
