As with Filson's Mackinaw Wool Cruiser jacket, the four front pockets on this special version are larger on the left, feature layered utility compartments, and are cut to beveled corners. The entire double-layered back panel serves as a pass-through pocket, originally designed to store maps and topographic charts but now useful for storing gloves, caps or other bulkier items.
This version designed for the city offers the same ruggedness and functionality as the original model, made for forest rangers who worked in the rainy forests of the Pacific Northwest. The wool blend blocks wind without sacrificing a high level of breathability and the durability typical of a fabric made to last.
